This particular project @ Home - Garden is an integenerational project which looks at voluntary activity in gardens.

Many people in cities don't have access to a garden, however allotments are available to all and are succesfully managed by hundreds of volunteeer groups across the country.

This is an example of a very special allotment group in Croydon,, Heavers Farm, that gave up it's land to enable a much needed primary school to be built. Children from the school recently visited the allotments.

With help from the retired people from the allotment group they came up with some designs for sheds of the future.Then, with help from individuals and organisations (listed in this sites 'contacts' page) they developed this site to celebrate International Year of The Volunteer during Adult Learners Week.
