Rough Cricket - report on 2010 season. 2011 fixtures below

Rough Cricket 2010

There were 183 playing appearances in 21 games in 11 different venues. 52 people played. The average turnout was 8.71 per game – a very good result as the ideal for this format is 8. 10 people played more than 10 games each. 6 players were over 50, 7 were female, 2 were under 16, 10 were passers-by. A tournament for Tom Hammond, in honour of his father, raised £ 400 for the Lung Foundation. There were no cancellations. There were many ‘champagne moments’ of high-class cricket. The first game of the 2011 season will be at Belair in Dulwich on Friday April 29 at 16.30. This will be the beginning of Rough Cricket’s seventh year of open-access weekly informal cricket in a variety of South London open spaces.
