1st Framework/3rdthought’s ‘Paradise’ (London) is a 45 minute visual theatre show based on sound recordings of 60 people’s impressions of the title all set in a fairground tent.
Now comes phase 2 of ‘Paradise’ – the German version!
It will be presented at Ufafabrik in Berlin in May 2009.
New sections of soundtrack describing Paradise as it occurs to Berliners will be edited into the existing London show.
The accompanying stage show will be performed by a specially created German team who will join the experienced 3rdthought group.
This will be shown to small audiences twice a day for two weeks in a multi-coloured indoor fairground tent placed in Ufafabrik’s cabaret theatre.
The German interviews will also create a commissioned hour-long radio feature for Kulturradio, Berlin’s equivalent of the BBC’s Radios 3 and 4 put together.
3rdthought will collaborate with Berlin schools (for the guest performance spots) and older peoples groups (to contribute small-scale pre-show entertainment).
The whole event will celebrate Ufafabrik’s 30th anniversary and will be a wonderfully collaborative
celebration of intergenerational and multicultural co-operation.
